⚞A Fast-Paced Melody⚟
When Mark, a violinist prodigy and perpetual grump, was forced to tutor Felix, Shorebridge’s campus heartthrob and hockey star, he was doomed from the start. Not only was Felix too kind to him, but he was also quite handsome. While Mark would try to keep his distance, something kept Felix on his mind. Tutoring sessions grew to dinners on campus and impromptu skating lessons, and Mark found himself falling hard. He dared not say anything; he tried not even to hope, as scars from his freshman year were hard to swallow. Through senior recital stress, playoff publicity, and a fear of hurting each other, incidentally doing just that, Mark and Felix try to stay together, like a strong line on defense, or a modal chord mixture, uniting seeming opposites through all that they couldn’t see.
